Some of my personal Tweets, before beginning coverage on the Falmouth Book Festival social media pages.

This year, I was invited to work behind-the-scenes at Falmouth Book Festival on their social media. Alongside other journalism students, I attended some of the main events throughout the week and posted live to the offical Instagram, Facebook and Twitter pages. We also created highlight reels and snapshot overviews of the events to give an insight into author talks and promote further events in the festival.

The events that I personally covered included Hugh-Fearnley Whittingstall in conversation with Jemma Woodman, George Monbiot in conversation with Tim Smit, and the Can Writing Save the Ocean? panel discussion with Natalie Heart, Dr Fiona Gell, Wyl Menmuir, and Philip Marsden.

We received some really positive feedback from Colin Midson, Director of Falmouth Book Festival and, using the insights on Facebook and Instagram, I could see that my posts had some of the highest engagement figures for the week.
