Education and Training
I studied BA Journalism & Creative Writing at Falmouth University, where I was awarded the Brian Thomas Prize for Originality in Journalism and graduated with First-Class Honours. For my final dissertation project, I researched, filmed, edited and produced a 15-minute documentary, exploring the impact of movement wellbeing classes on rural communities.
During my degree, I spent a semester abroad at Auckland University of Technology in New Zealand, where I specialised in News Production; Media, Technology and Society; Intercultural Awareness; and Creative Writing: Voices. I covered unfolding news stories, as well as interviewing the NZ Poet Laureate for a feature about immigration and finding community in the arts.
I strive to continue to develop new skills and hone my craft, recently joining PA Media at their newsroom in London for a week of training with their video team. From court cases, to multi-million pound art auctions, and even a ground-breaking construction site, I got stuck in with some exciting stories in the capital city.
