The Planet In Peril anthology is home to my very first piece of professionally published poetry at the age of 15.
Fly on the Wall Press collated this charitable anthology of environmental poetry and photography in 2019 to raise money for the WWF and Climate Coalition.
Link to the anthology and fundraising total here:
I later recorded a reading of the poem for the social media promotion of the anthology.

Planet In Peril
A discarded wrapper flung out to sea,
Plastic fragments that will drift aimlessly,
Left to haunt the waves for eternity,
Though we dismiss this stark reality.
Every flower that wilts for lack of bee,
The greenspace we pave indefinitely,
Every piece of paper plucked from a tree,
Lies scrunched and crumpled irrespectively.
Oppressing nature’s delicate beauty,
The impact we have so radically,
Open your eyes: there is no ‘planet B’,
This is the world that the future will see,
A Planet in Peril,
And it’s because of me.
